John Titor Update Tonight on Coast + Is Hoaxing a Crime?

Ready for John Titor updates tonight on Coast to Coast AM? I wonder what it could be. I have a feeling that it's nothing big. Oliver Williams is the guest. Here's his bio from the Coast site:

Oliver Williams is the website editor for the time travel story of John Titor. He first saw John Titor's internet postings in the fall of 2002. After reading many of the sites where John was discussed, it amazed Oliver as to how much polarization and confrontation John's posts caused. Oliver soon realized that part of the problem was that there was no one place where all the posts could be easily seen. In early 2003, Oliver gathered the posts that John had left online and edited them into a single web site. The website also contains email and news events that point to subjects John spoke about. Oliver doesn't know if John Titor was a real time traveler or not, but, he says, what still amazes him about the posts is their ability to draw you in, question your sanity for thinking it might be real, and then scare you to death after seeing events unfold as John had said.
I still think that this whole John Titor thing is a money-making hoax. And whoever's behind it better watch out because of these new laws popping up about hoaxers. I support these anti-hoax laws. I think when people take it this far, it should be considered a crime. "This far" meaning when hoaxers end up on national news, have websites where they sell things, have people wasting money travelling and doing lab experiments, etc. This is equivalent to theft. It's equivalent to calling 911 when nothings wrong. It's one thing to go to the media when you really believe that something's going on. But people who knowingly pursue something that isn't fact, something that they've concoted, are liars.

What do you think about hoaxers? Should it be considered a crime? What should the punishment be?
