- One shooter is Major Nidal Malik Hasan, a mental health professional (pictured below)
- Hasan had 2 handguns, 1 semi automatic
- Hasan was, according to CNN, upset about his scheduled deployment to Iraq
- Major Hasan is NOT dead. Initial reports that he has been fatally shot were apparently wrong!
- Dozens of people were wounded. 12 confirmed dead, including one of the gunmen.
- Soldiers were filling out forms to go to Iraq or Afghanistan (ie. preparing for deployment.)
- I just heard Dr. Phil on Larry King say Hasan went to VIRGINIA TECH! (Yes! I kid you not.)
