Any who, last night I was suddenly overcome with the need to look into shadow people. So I stayed up longer that I should have listening to an interesting Cost to Coast AM interview with Heidi Hollis, which I'm pretty sure I did not hear when it aired. I was listening to it on Youtube. There are 10 parts. Here's the first part:
Typically, shadow beings don't like to be spotted but they are sometimes discovered by a person who wakes up to find them trying to choke or suffocate them, noted Hollis, who presented several methods for decreasing or eliminating incidents with them:
- Learn to let go of your fear.
- Stand your ground and deny them access to your person.
- Focus on positive thoughts.
- Use the name of Jesus to repel them.
- Keep a light on or envision light surrounding you.
- Bless your room with bottled spring water.
My Own Shadow Person Experience
This happened about seven or so years ago. It feels like it was just yesterday because I remember it so vividly. I was a teenager living in an apartment complex in L.A. (county). I shared a room with my older sister and we had a day sofa. She got the top part and I slept on the mattress that rolled out from underneath. I slept directly beneath the window, which was covered by vertical blinds. Of course the moonlight could shine through so the room, although dark, is never pitch black. (On top of that, we all know how our eyes adjusts to the darkness making it possible to make out shapes of furniture and whatever else might be there.)
Well, one night, I was sleeping soundly when i woke up suddenly. Right out of a dead sleep. I don't know why I awoke. I don't recall hearing anything. I just was startled out of my sleep. I woke up, without moving my body, to see a dark silhouette of a big man standing beside my bed and peering out of the blinds on the window. This entity appeared three dimensional, like it has a shape and wasn't just a mist. I actually thought it was my dad for many years afterward. It had his shape. My father is 6'4" and around 250-300 lbs. A large, burly man. That fact is what led me to believe that it was NOT him after all. Why? When I lifted myself up on my elbows slowly, the bed creaked. And this entity hear/saw me move and quickly turned and jumped OVER the foot of my mattress and darted out into the hallway without making one sound. Not a creak. Even when it landed on the ground after leaping over me. I couldn't believe it. If my dad did that, there would have been a loud crash! I was around 100 lbs at that time and even I would make sounds just tiptoeing around.
Shadow people do not like being spotted.
Theories: So what could shadow people be?
Of course there's the obvious theory that they are evil, demonic entities.
Some believe they harvest souls. I guess draining people of their energies while they sleep.
Another theory which seems to be popular with any unexplainable entity (ETs, bigfoot, etc.) is that they are inter-dimensional beings.
